What is ALORA

Anthony Lakes Outdoor Recreation Association (ALORA) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that works to provide affordable outdoor recreation opportunities throughout Northeast Oregon.

Our Mission

To enrich and improve the lives of Baker, Union, Grant, Wallowa, and Umatilla County residents, especially youth, through enhancing local, year-round outdoor recreational opportunities, focusing on stewardship, education, and promotion of outdoor activities, and ensuring that all opportunities/activities are provided in an affordable manner.

Our Organizations

ALORA is governed by a dedicated board of directors and management team, overseeing a variety of operations that include the Anthony Lake ski area, campgrounds, The Trailhead Bike and Ski shop, and the Quail Ridge Golf Course.

Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort

ALORA currently operates Anthony Lakes ski area under a special use permit with the USDA Forest Service.

Anthony Lakes Campgrounds

ALORA is the concessionaire to manage both the Union Creek and Anthony Lake Campground Complexes on the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest in Baker County, Oregon.

The Trailhead Bike and Ski Shop

ALORA owns and operates The Trailhead Bike and Ski shop in downtown Baker City. This historic building, located at 1828 Main Street, is also the ALORA office headquarters.

Quail Ridge Golf Management

ALORA manages the city-owned Quail Ridge Golf Course in Baker City.
